Tegola Membranes

Tegola Canadese, in conjunction with General Membrane (Italy) produce very high grade prefabricated waterproofing membranes.

With a compound of distilled bitumen and elastoplastomeric polymers and is reinforced with a woven non-woven spunbond stabilized with fibreglass (GEMINI FC), or with chopped fibres polyester stabilized with fibreglass (GEMINI P), or with fibreglass mat stabilized with fibreglass (GEMINI V). The excellent quality of the compound gives a very good cold flexibility, high resistance to UV rays and longevity and the high quality of the reinforcement avoids shrinkage even in the presence of severe stress. The mineral finishing, available in different colours, gives a better protection to the membrane slowing down the ageing process and increasing the life of the system.

Tegola membranes are reinforced with a rot-proof woven non-woven spunbond polyester stabilized with fibreglass. The excellent dimensional stability of the reinforcement, makes GEMINI FC a very high performance membrane which avoids shrinkage even in the presence of extreme thermal stress. GEMINI P membranes are reinforced with a rot-proof woven non-woven chopped fibres polyester stabilized with fibreglass. GEMINI V membranes are reinforced with a rot-proof fibreglass mat stabilized with fibreglass which gives an excellent dimensional stability and avoids curling and un-aesthetic plies on the waterproofing membranes. The reinforcements with such strong mechanical characteristics - tensile strength, elongation at break and tear resistance - helps it to absorb the severe stresses due to structural movement, resist foot traffic, the placing of static weights and it permits to be fixed mechanically in zones exposed to high winds.

Even though we have taken the maximum care during the printing process, the colours in the photographs are of course only indicative, and may appear slightly different from the actual mineral surfacing of the membranes.

 

Fields of Application

Tegola membranes can be used as a watertight/finishing layer or as single layer waterproofing systems.
